CHRISTMAS CONCERT NEWS

Dear Parents,

The St Bernardine’s Christmas Concert will be on Friday 28^th November at 6:30pm.  This concert will take place in Siena Hall.

The students in Year Three will be performing an item at the Christmas concert.  If your child is unable to attend, please let me know as soon as possible.  Their absence will impact rehearsals.

Listed below is some important information in regards to our Christmas Concert:

·    3 Navy students to meet at 6:00-6:15pm in their classroom,  dressed in their costume:

-       Beach wear

-       Bare feet (wear slip on shoes for to and from school)

·    Parents are welcome to be seated in the hall from 6:00pm.

The teachers will walk the children to the hall and they will be with their class during the whole concert.

·    Please ensure your child has been to the toilet before he/she meets the Year Three teachers.

·    No food is to be consumed in the hall.

·    Parents are to collect their children from the teachers at the end of the concert.  We anticipate the concert to finish at approximately 8:00pm.

We are all looking forward to a wonderful Christmas Concert.

The Christmas Concert will be held on Friday night (6:30pm) - 28th November.

Week 4

Welcome to Week 4

It's going to be a scorcher! We have made a pact in 3 Navy not to concentrate on the heat but to rather think sensibly about how we can still work to the best of our ability throughout these hot days.

1. Don't run around in the sun at lunch
2. Drink plenty of water
3. Don't focus on the heat - just know that this is all part of living in our beautiful country.
4. Have cool fruit in our lunch boxes

We did well today. No complaints. Just all of us being proactive in staying cool.

I hope you all had a wonderful break and are all refreshed for the last term of the year! Please note that some students need new pencils, rulers, glue and books. Please ask your child if they need anything replaced. I have been supplying those that do not have any spare books with some of my own so that their learning is not disadvantaged. It would be greatly appreciated if their supplies could be replenished as soon as possible.

We have been exploring onomatopoeia in 3 Navy and created some fun sound poems to share.

Week 10

Welcome to the final week of term 3. What an amazing term it has been. The students have worked so hard and have come a long way. They are looking forward to sharing all of their hard work with you at our Showcase Evening on Wednesday. I hope to see you there!

Important note: Stationery items

Please check with your children if they are needing stationery items replaced. Many students are borrowing pencils, rubbers, scissors, glue and rulers. Maths grid books have also been filled by most students. Can you please ensure they start Term 4 with all necessary items. Thank you very much.

Hello and welcome to Week 9!

Only 2 weeks to go until the end of the term.

Don't forget, next Wednesday night is our showcase evening where your children share with you all of their hard work from the term. I hope to see you there!

This week we will be continuing with some final assessment tasks and reflecting on our learning. Part of this reflection is for the students to confidently identify their strengths and future learning goals. This is in line with our commitment to being a Visible Learning school.

Week 2 - Say 'Cheese!'

Welcome to Week 2!

School photos are taking place this week. Our class photo will be taken on Tuesday 22nd July at 12.20pm. It is very important that students are present and in their day uniform. Please ensure all students have the correct uniform, neat and tidy hair, the correct shoes and socks and a big smile.

Those wanting family and individual photos taken have organised this with the photographer and will be taken before school on Monday and Tuesday. If you have not organised this, envelopes are available in the school office. Parents can make a time with Master School Portraits to have these taken.
